Meet Sam! Samuel Craig joined the VCDC team in March 2020 as the Finance Manager for the company.
Born and raised in Vermillion, you could consider Sam a true Vermillion townie! He completed his undergraduate program at the University of South Dakota in May, with degrees in Finance and Marketing.
Early on, he spent his years teaching tennis and golf to youth through the Vermillion Parks and Recreation department. Throughout college he spent two years as a resident assistant and, in addition, worked at Beyond School Adventures. He spent a few years in leadership through his fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha, as Treasurer, Business Outreach Chairman and Community Service Chairman. During his senior year at USD, he served as the Social Media Manager for the University of South Dakota Athletic Bands.
He played the trombone for the USD Athletic Bands, and is a passionate Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan. He has performed on the Grand Ole Opry, and he loves to make pies.
