Interstate Access: Vermillion is located along four-lane US Highway 50, seven minutes from I-29 and a quick 50 minutes from I-90.

Municipal Airport: The City of Vermillion operates Harold Davidson Field which boasts a newly resurfaced 4105 foot runway to serve both private and public aircraft. Located immediately south of the community, the airport can be reached in five minutes from our business and industrial parks. Fuel is available 24 hours a day.

Commercial Airport: Vermillion is centrally located and effectively served by multiple commercial airports.

  • Sioux City Gateway Airport (SUX) is located 40 minutes south and offers multiple Delta Airlines connections through Minneapolis.
  • Sioux Falls Regional Airport (FSD) is located 60 minutes north and is served by United, American, Delta and Allegiant Airlines.
  • Omaha’s Eppely Airfield (OMA) is located a two-hour drive south and is served by all major carriers, including United, American, Southwest, Continental, US Air, among others. Vermillion is located along 4-lane US Highway 50, six miles west of I-29 and 64 miles south of I-90.
