WHAT IS THE VERMILLION BUCK PROGRAM?
Vermillion Bucks are great for every gift giving situation – birthday, graduation, employee rewards, and incentives – the possibilities are endless! Vermillion Bucks are like a super gift certificate – they can be used to purchase merchandise, products, or services at many member businesses and organizations of the Vermillion Area Chamber & Development Company. This provides your recipient(s) with a wide variety of options to fit every interest and need.
Your Vermillion Bucks purchase also benefits your community. The use of Vermillion Bucks ensures that this money is spent in the community, benefiting Chamber member businesses, thereby benefiting the community while giving you more options for gifts.
Vermillion Bucks can be purchased in $5, $10, and $20 denominations at the VCDC office located at 2 E. Main St. during regular business hours.

Where can I use Vermillion Bucks?
Vermillion Bucks can be used in any Vermillion Area business that accepts checks. The Vermillion Post Office is unable to accept Vermillion Bucks, due to being a federal institution.
HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?
For Recipients:
Use them just like a check payable to any of our local businesses! They expire in 1 year from date stamp and there are no fees. They are not redeemable for cash; meaning that no change is given. Thus, your purchase should be for the amount on the check or greater. Treat yourself! You deserve it!
For Member Businesses & Organizations:
Treat Vermillion Bucks just like you would a personal check. However, they are not redeemable for cash. This means that no change is given. So, the customer’s purchase should be for the amount listed on the check or greater. After acceptance, simply deposit the Vermillion Buck just like you would any other check into your bank account. Your account will be credited in the amount listed on the Vermillion Buck.
To pre-order your Vermillion Bucks, you can stop in to see the VCDC staff or send us an email at VCDC@VermillionChamber.com. If you would like to place a large order, please notify us at least 1 week in advance so we can prepare your Vermillion Bucks for you in a timely fashion.
