Celebrate Vermillion's proud German heritage with Oktoberfest! Enjoy Wiener Schnitzel from the Eagles Club and beer from XIX Brewing. Assemble a team for the Bohemian Tractor Pull and lug a vintage tractor down main street. Dress in your best lederhosen or dirndl for the costume contest, try your hand at Hammerschlagen, and compete in the stein holding competition.
It all happens—where else?—the Ratingen Platz in Downtown Vermillion. An important part of out town character, the Ratingen Platz (literally, "Ratingen Place") is a central plaza named for our sister city of Ratingen, Germany.
Compete in the Tractor Pull
Grab some friends and try your hand at the Bohemian Tractor Pull. The team to pull the tractor 100 feet down main street the fastest wins half the pot earnings in cash and an official Oktoberfest stein.
$40 Team Fee for a four-person team.
$20 Team Fee for a two-person team.
In-person registration will be held inside Carey's Bar from 6-6:30 p.m. Team check-ins and officials meeting to follow registration.
