Missouri Valley Growth Programs
Façade Improvement Program
Owners or operators of commercial businesses with physical locations may apply for up to $2,500 to enhance their property's public-facing building façade. This program is available for businesses located anywhere within Vermillion and is not limited to historic or downtown buildings.
Applications may be submitted at any time. All applications must provide detailed construction plans, if applicable, or a detailed project estimate if a contractor is being hired. All approved grants are awarded upon project completion, following a review of work and submission of final invoices.
Childcare Start-Up Grant
We invest in the future of Vermillion. This program supports the establishment of new childcare facilities or the expansion of existing operations, including in-home childcare providers, by offering a forgivable loan of up to $10,000. The loan will be forgiven in full if the grant recipient successfully operates the childcare facility for a minimum period of 2 years.
Applicants will be evaluated based on the number of children they will provide care for. Projects that demonstrate a commitment to expanding capacity for childcare services, accessibility, and community impact will receive priority.
