Exposure
Getting your name out is easier when you’re a VCDC member. Keep reading to see how we help members get exposure in Vermillion and beyond.
Online
Gain access to and be listed here on the VCDC website, where thousands of people will be able to view it.
Referrals
The Chamber continuously provides referrals to its members. Hundreds of people and businesses call us each year inquiring about the different services offered in Vermillion. As a VCDC member, you get the inside scoop.
Community/Visitor Guide
Released each February, our annual visitor guide will have your business listed in it. These are distributed at several visitor centers along the South Dakota interstate highways, as well as to various businesses and organizations within Vermillion. Our guide is also included in every visitor and relocation request the VCDC receives. Increase your business’ exposure by purchasing ad space in each annual publication.
Quarterly Newsletter
The VCDC produces a quarterly newsletter to highlight member businesses, community, and VCDC news. Feel free to keep us abreast of your latest news by emailing or calling us with your press releases.
Monday Messenger
Our popular, weekly email newsletter is distributed to all members, as well as various other organizations, and is the best way to keep abreast of upcoming events and opportunities. Send us your events and news, and we share it with the whole community each week.
Social Networking
The VCDC is active across multiple social media platforms, to communicate not only with our own members but also the wider Vermillion community and with other chambers and regional businesses to promote all that Vermillion has to offer. These accounts bolster the promotion of our own events, our members’ events, or any other important news our members might have.
Sponsorships
Increase your exposure through sponsorships each year, including events like the 4th of July fireworks showcase or hole sponsorships at the Annual Golf Social.
Ribbon Cuttings
Introduce your new or expanding business to the rest of the community by hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The VCDC will invite members from our Board of Directors and the City Council to come together to celebrate. Simply tell us the preferred date for the ceremony, and the Chamber will help promote the event, provide the ribbon and scissors, and emcee the event.
