The Small Business and Healthcare Provider Relief Program HAS BEEN EXTENDED. The application period will now run through to Friday October 30th.

The Small Business and Healthcare Provider Relief Program, will utilize up to $580 million in Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) dollars to assist small businesses, community-based healthcare providers, and non-profits negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. There are five categories to the program based on business eligibility. Please see the specific industry related flyers below.

The Governor’s Office of Economic Development are compiling a list of resources available for businesses across the state of South Dakota. As new information becomes available, LiveVermillion.com will continue to be updated.

New criteria:

  • Increasing the maximum grant from $100,000 to $500,000.
  • Decreasing the minimum threshold from $750 to $500.
  • Broadening the eligibility requirement from reduction in business of more than 25% to a reduction in business of more than 15%.
  • If you are a business that has already applied, you DO NOT need to refile. Your submission will be adjusted with the new requirements.

Small Business Startup Program

To qualify as a small business start-up, you will need to have registered your business with the Secretary of State between September 1st, 2019 and June 1st, 2020.
